A 60 minute broadcast will be limited to 55 to 56 minutes in length. Since we do allow time for promotional considerations and the news (just as in traditional radio), a 30 minute broadcast is actually ONLY 26 to 28 minutes. The actual length of the news briefing is dependent on the time availability in the playlist for that particular program and that particular day. This can be as short as 30 seconds or up to 3 minutes in length. We also have a network news affiliate that will provide a headline news brief for our listeners. Promotional announcements will be pre-loaded (sometimes specific commercials or they could be on a rotational basis) into the end of playlist. Commercials will run at the “bottom” of the hour - and will run for 2-3 minutes. The latter choice is the option we have built into this station.
